Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1632
So that the "I do" of the spouses may be a free and responsible act and so that the marriage covenant may have solid and lasting human and Christian foundations, preparation for marriage is of prime importance.
When you are ready to schedule a wedding here at Immaculate Conception or the Mission, we ask that you come in. We do not schedule weddings over the phone. When you come in, we will give you a form to fill out.
After filling out the form, we will go through the calendar with you to see what is available and put it on the form and pencil it on the parish calendar.
We will pencil your date into the parish calendar and ask you to return within two weeks with the signed form, a list of what facilities you wish to use, and payment for the use of the facilities. At this time we will then confirm your date, and give this information to the priest or deacon who will continue their preparation for marriage. We will need to know which of the 5 priests and Deacons you would like to witness your wedding. The priest or deacon will then contact you to arrange a time to meet with you.
