If you or a loved one has a serious illness, the time has certainly come for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This Sacrament is not just for Last Rites. Rather it is a time for anyone who is suffering greatly to be spiritually strengthened to offer up their suffering in union with Jesus Christ on the cross for the salvation of souls or even to be physically healed, if the Lord so desires.

If a loved one is nearing death, please do not wait till the last minute. Call the office or one of our priests who can come to anoint your loved one and give them Last Rites (special prayers for the dying, the Apostolic Pardon (containing a plenary indulgence), and viaticum (Holy Communion) if possible.
