That Man Is You is an interactive men's program modeled after some of the country's leading men's programs. It combines Scripture, solid secular research and a little fun to address the pressures and temptations facing men, particularly husbands and fathers, on our modern culture. It consists of a spring and a fall semester each having 13 individual presentations. Check out the brochure on the right to see the upcoming topics and presenters.
The program has been active in our parish for twelve years. A small group of men meet once a week at 7am with breakfast on Saturday mornings, watch a 30 minute video and spend 30 minutes discussing it. There are no fees but you must register to access meetings and presentations.
September 17 - Like the Isrealites, we also have become too comfortable with the culture around us and have begun to adapt to secular ways of thinking, living, and understanding. Deacon Harold shows that if we choose to remain faithful, our faith and our witness can convert the world around us!
September 30 - This session highlights the importance of knowing the gifts that God bestows on us so that we can understand, focus on, and carry out our correct mission. This is what we see in the lives of so many saints: they undersood their mission clearly and went all-in on that one mission.
October 7 - Through meeting his wife and seeing her suffer with grace, Jason learned what it meant to keep his eyes on Jesus even in the midst of the storm. He calls you to be rooted in your faith and place God first in your life. Only then can we receive the grace we need to face the storms in our lives and to embrace the crosses we have been given. Christ calls you by name, follow Him!
October 14 - Brian Topping sets the stage for this powerful and personal session by providing a pathway for how we can grow in mature manhood. He provides personal examples from his own family life that highlight how maturing in our Christian manhood can radically impact how we respond to challenges that come our way.
